About Us

Over the last 4 years I have had so many experiences traveling that I decided to write about them. I wanted to share the experiences in the hopes that other people can get some travel tips and tricks. Due to the nature of my business I have the time and means to travel. My annual goal is to travel 30 days a year. And I plan to expand this blog to include write ups about the Formula 1 races that we attend. There will be a new one each year.

I wanted to share a more narrowed focus of a trip with all of the little details, where to go, what we did, where did we stay. While sites like Tripadvisor can help you to chose some of the details of a trip, the scope of that website can make it hard to feel personal.

The name of the blog came from my grandfathers last name Igo. Its a unique family name and he was a world traveler.

We hope you enjoy this blog and hope you get something out of it. We love to hear feedback and look forward to hearing from you.

That’s not my dog.

I am the sarcastic narrator of our fine adventures on this blog. How did I come to find myself in this position?

It all started with running. I started running in my final year of Nursing School. After completing a few local races, I decided to start traveling to races. I’m a huge fan of the company Vacation Races, though I don’t represent them in any way. That lead me to start hitting local hiking trails in order to train for trail running, and now traveling to hike and run is my passion. As of June 2019, I have completed 13 half marathons, including 6 with Vacation Races, one full marathon, and I’m about to dive head first into a 55K Ultra marathon next year.

One of my favorite things about doing vigorous physical activity is eating lots of food while training for races. So I guess you can say I’m pretty basic. I like running, food, wine, and photography. I plan to expand this blog to include race reports, local hiking, and encourage others to dive into this lifestyle.

My job as a nurse makes me see how fragile life can be. I want to spend time making memories doing the things I love with the people that I love for as long as I have on this earth. With all of the time I spend daydreaming and planning my trips, so I wanted to create the type of resource that I read through when I am organizing our vacations.

I hope you are inspired!
